  • Haha, Nick is the only guy I know that would play the blues scale, Phrygian #7, and diminished scale in the same breath...to start a solo. And all he's doing is just improvising like it's breathing...fucking brilliant.

  • Nicholas--wow...what can you say about one of the greatest trumpet players whoever lived.

  • And huge props to Roy Haynes. The guy is a marvel. Cut his teeth playing with Lester Young and Bird, and here he is, looking great, still swinging extremely hard at the forefront of jazz, playing new things.

  • They're the same tune. There were three names (that I know of) for this tune, Segment, Diverse, and Tune X. Maybe there are more haha! Anyways, this is toooooo killin.
