  • Is this some kind of joke? I'm sorry, but I have to say: Do not do anything that is shown here. The spray will contaminate the grooves. The cloth will not penetrate the grooves to clean them. The cloth will add dirt and static, attracting more dust. The paper sleeve for the LP will scratch it.

Talk to someone old enough to know how to do this job right--someone who was an adult in the age of the LP.

  • Yeah because everyone who was an adult in the age of the LP knew how to keep their records clean? Face facts, most people back then, just like now, didn't care about the quality of the music, didn't look after their media and used crappy $4 styli.

I agree that this method is no good, you should be putting your record into a new 2.0 mil anti-static high-density polyethylene sleeve after cleaning, and use a record cleaning machine or distilled water.

  • So, erm, we just clean the one side then ? And smudge our thumb along the outer ? And push the dissolved crap deeper into the grooves ? Seriously, if you need to learn how to clean vinyl, stay away from these CLOWNS !!!

  • This is not how you clean records. My dad used pieces of velvet to clean his, im not sure if thats the right way to go, but it ceritainly sounds A LOT better for the record. BTW why would you use paper sleeves that are going to scratch the records when you can buy rice paper sleeves(probably the best thing you can use) online for like $2.00? Wow...just wow

  • Use a vinyl brush you morron XD and not that dirty cloth, you just put more and more dust inside the groove, try sand paper XD.

if your a real dj or a turntabilist you already knows, that we can touch the inside of the record, where the groove are, just wash your hand before, if you have dry hand used, a pro hand moistizer , like DJ Q-Bert recomend... your not an expert, at all.

  • this is completely lame....thats no way to clean a record properly

  • I'm just cleaning the part on the outside here, that actually holds music. LOL

  • also do not dribble or slobber on to the vinyl

  • I use the ol' kitchen sink!

  • HORROR! Cleaning with a cloth and then taking over with BARE hands!? USE non pilling GLOVES!

  • well, could you help me then?
