@manniman82 If you read the rules you will realise that hands do not play a part in offside. If any part of your (the attacker's) legs, head or chest is past the 2nd last opposition player's (usually the last defender's) legs, head and chest, then it is offside. Hence Villa is offside in this video, but I can understand how it was not picked up, it was so close that it's hard to see without a replay.

That is one of the tightest calls, your forgetting the linesman has a split seond to make that call. Also video technology would probably ruin football, the amount of stoppages would take the pace out of the game.
