Whats the name of this effect?
-
what is the song/soundtrack you use for the video?
-
@StudioVoxel Yes, 3D tracking definitely gives you much better results and more flexibility on your effects, but this specific one can be done 2D as well (for any of you who only have the after effects tracker to work with, or mocha).

@StudioVoxel That's alright, but nice video.

@sadapindo Thanks :) Well, I kidnapped a guy from ILM and drained his blood into vials :D Nah, I'm just pretty nerdy and have a lot of time on my hands.

You can probably use 2D tracking for this shot since the camera motion is pretty basic and the effects are basically on 2D planes.

@AJR3 Hmm...you mean like using corner pin tracking? Well, that might work, though the footage isn't very sharp, so I tend to find tracking four perfect corners with errors doesn't pull off very neatly. I like the idea of throwing the footage into a motion tracker and getting a holistic camera representation of the scene, especially when using Nuke these days. That way, you can add whatever you want, off any shape and size and at any point in time :) But yeah, corner pin tracking works too...

you are a great compositor with some creative idea's ;) where did you get the blood from?
sadapindo 1 year ago
@sadapindo Aah, I get what you're asking with the blood, now. I thought you meant where i got compositing in my blood *smacks head* Well I created the blood very primitively in a pre-composed composition using Trapcode Particular and some custom settings, then I mapped that onto the wall.

Could you try to tell me as many effects you used possible? I need to know fast, I have a school project due tomorrow.
