    This version is sung by Danny Chung I think, as Wong Kar-Wai wasn't able to obtain the copyrights for Frank Zappa's version. The soundtrack is still available on Ebay!

    Well, you're partly right. Wong was able to use other pieces by Zappa in the film, but the version of "Happy Together" in the film is by Danny Chung, not the Turtles. And the Turtles recorded the song, but they didn't write it, so it's not really their creation.

    No, the sixties version is by the Turtles. But Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman left the Turtles to perform with Zappa and the Mothers of Invention around 70, and I think they recorded a version of the song in that context.

    Frank Zappa have other themes in the movie, so what you're saying is not true. Also, the last "Happy Together" version of the movie is a popular concert of The Turtles, who are the real creators of the song, no Frank Zappa.
