You definitely should!
I mean this is an interesting part of M. If you can let a quad-core working for month ... 'course. Be the first to enlarge M's neck. I think CanyonDeepTrial1 is full of promises.

Very beautiful shapes in this rarely-seen region.

Looks interesting. How close are you to the real axis?
Personally I have stayed away from "tough" areas like this because of the time needed, but it appears that there are some very interesting shapes and dynamics down there.

How far...yes, I should have mentioned that!
The y-coordinate is about 0.00016. The x-coordinate is about -0.749999993.
That doesn't seem like it's very close, but the iteration count goes up here really really fast. This used 200 million counts per pixel and even then there are areas that are blacked-out due to too few counts.
You're right about ths having interesting shapes, but I think there's stuff nearly identical close by but not quite so deep into the crevice. I'll look more.

FYI -- this is a very tiny test run of a difficult animation project, just so people can be in the loop about what I'm up to. It's not really a production run, so I've disabled ratings because it's not clear to me how to fairly rate something like this.
I know the video quality is bad, but that's because it's a test draft at 160x120 piels.
Even with that tiny frame size, this took over 2 weeks on a quad-core system!
Should I make a larger version? It will take months.
