I recently went out to The Cheesecake Factory and noticed their new "nutritional guide" on the table ... and was SHOCKED at what we discovered. The calorie amount for almost everything on their menu was 2 to 3, and often 4 times what you should have at any meal!
A white bean hummus is a sure bet for lean and healthy, right? NO WAY - it contains 1,100 calories!! And that's just an appetizer!
One acceptable appetizer I found on the menu was edamame at just 290 calories. Just goes to show, you cannot go wrong selecting foods in their natural state. Unless they fry it or it's soaked in butter or rich, fattening sauces, menu items with just one ingredient, such as edamame (soy beans), are great choices!
go vegan and rawfood. PROBLEM SOLVED!

I wish we had more eating places that would GET A CLUE!!! There is plenty of tasty food that doesn't have to be loaded with crap. Can they not make their food taste good withought throwing a bunch of nasty stuff in it??? LOL!

Kim, this is ridiculous, but nothing from Cheese cake factory would have surprised me- and that waitress was right: They KNOW that most won't even bother to read a menu and many assume that "all salads are created equal" meaning "healthy." Nothing can be further from the truth. :-) The people that wrote "Eat This, Not That" blast Cheesecake factory. They ought to be ashamed of themselves-playing on the ignorance of most-but it's legal, so all we can do is be educated readers. Thanks so much.
