Feeding raw meat helps the dogs develop their jaws, provides them with an activity, and encourages problem-solving. It's great exercise for pups at nearly six weeks whose teeth are coming in.

They mostly play with the chicken legs and tear off what they can. Still too soon to be able to crush bone.

When older, the crushing and ingesting of bone will provide calcium and a well-rounded meal full of nutrients and minerals.

  • LOL @ "raw food will make your dog fat or sick"

Dogs' and cats' bodies are designed to digest raw meat and bone, not nothing but cereal grains with some artificial colors/flavors throw in. Aka Beneful.

  • in my opinon any petfood from the gorcey store is horrible

  • @KamLautner Trust me, theres more salmonela in the kibble. If you frooze the meat for about 72houres before offering theres no danger at all.

  • @passfieldandmarmol BIG TIME.. I went the other day to just compair suppermarket and pet store foods. All the markets foods is all grain grain...

  • Wish I had the money to feed my dogs a raw diet, but I feed them Blue Buffalo Wilderness a grain free dog food. Least they're not eating that walmart ol roy crap my uncle feeds his dogs.

  • I was PISSED with my breeder for feeding my pup Beneful! I switched her to Wellness and now she looks Fantastic. Then I saw this video and wanted to do this, but I am terrified of the toddlers in our house getting sick from exposure the salmonella and other bacterias.

  • @TheGameBreedPit I wouldn't make conclusions that aren't supported in any research what so ever. All my animals for over 20 years have been fed raw &/or home cooked meals (mostly raw). I have 3 dogs now. One is 18 and perfectly thriving. The other has been paraplegic for 7 years (from a dog attack) and has NONE of the problems most paraplegics suffer from (UTIs, Kidney problems, etc). The third has never been to the vet and is 7. All have perfect teeth and coats. Dogs are carnivores. Sorry.

  • So what do you feed them before they can start on raw? don't they have to start out with some sort of really soft food?

  • Raw foods produced for dogs and sold in pet stores are commercially safer than raw meats purchased in grocery stores. The acceptable level of bacteria in meats sold at grocery stores is 30% or less because it is meant to be cooked.

  • Thtas the type of dog im getting!! we are naiming him max!!

  • im getting this type!! we are gonna name it max!!

  • Lucky puppies!
