Smart, witty, experimental yet insanely catchy, Freelove remains a techno-pop classic years after it's release. Amazing offering from Voice Farm directed by Tom Bonauro. The Oblong Rhonda Dancers always looked their best in men's bvd's.
@saokopunk DId you find any Noise Network footage here? It was a great show indeed, I never missed it until the channel went off the air. I ended up getting cable shortly after and was able to get MTV 120 Minutes, which was OK, but not Noise Network.
@DaPriz was looking for some footage of that show here today. I used to watch it on as part of the public access cable channels programming, first time I saw the Dead Kennedy's and The Circle Jerks was on that show. Pretty awesome show indeed.
I haven't seen this video since 1991! I lived in New Orleans at that time and couldn't afford cable, but I found a low power TV station on channel 61 carrying the now defunct Channel America network. Every Saturday night at 11PM they aired "Noise Network," a music video show that was produced in Wisconsin, and that is where I saw this video. The picture was fuzzy, but I still watched. Nice to finally see it clear. Anyone remember "Noise Network?"
Charlie, Ken, Mike?, stayed in San Francisco and burned CD's not very far from Slims night club when I came to know them. I loved the Voice Farm live shows, and went to as many as I could! I was blown away after seeing their live show! A true sensory fest of sight and sound!
The Edge, Paridise Lounge, Slims, yeah good times.
This song was heavily requested on my public radio show back in St. Louis (KDHX)... thank the gods for freeform radio, as other stations there only stuck with familiarity. Free Love took my listeners by storm and I sometimes had to play more than one version per show to keep 'em happy. Unique talents you are, Voice Farm... definitely a life-long fan here!
LOVE this song! This is the first I have ever seen the video. :-))

I saw them in San Francisco around 1990 or so. They were amazing, a great show that made them one of my favorite bands of all time! Old School!
