Great farmers market at Monash University Clayton campus in Melbourne went to the first one and was VERY impressed
Run by Monash Rotary with profits going into community projects this is a great monthly farmers market which is definitely going to grow over time. Much of the produce is from the Gold fields area of Victoria (Ballarat and Creswick) providing farmers and local producers with an outlet in the city and health eating alternatives.
The market is on the 4th Saturday of each month (No market in December)
with loads of convenient free parking available. Gold coin entry
There was a huge variety of fresh goods including;
º Bread, pastries and puddings
º Eggs and cheese
º In season fruit and vegetables
º Meat and fish
º Spices
º Chocolates and confectionary
º Plants, herbs and flowers
.... and many more
Plus a yummy on-site cooked breakfast and coffee avalibale
Wellington Road Clayton entrance to University
