@COOPxx93 i agree she was leaving to go with her dad and it was already sad I just don't get it or at least if they wanted that cliffhanger they could of made it seem she was dead and really either in a coma or moved with her dad or din't remember or off someone healing something else that way it could of ended the show right wit her there in the last episode

@COOPxx93 Actually, it wasn't really the prod decision. It was Mischa Bartons, She wanted to leave the show and I think she killed her character.. sad but I thought that was the best season final of the whole show x)

@COOPxx93 Well She was giving (the person that plays her) that choice and wanted her charachter to be let go
she said "she just grew out of it " but the way she looked just proved something else was going on

@COOPxx93 I know this comment is two years old but Mischa Barton wanted to leave the show. I guess the writers saw no alternative but to kill her off. After all the was the star along with Benjamin McKenzie and I can see no other alternative for eliminating her character besides Marissa becoming deceased.
