this has been debunked....search "red state trumpet sounds" and listen to some of the sounds from war of the worlds. the rather bad movie red state was released in sept. 2011, none of the videos on youtube were posted before that date...secondly, i have never seen a video of a large group of people hearing it at the same time, as someone pointed out earlier. the baseball game was confirmed to be a lightening strike hitting and interfering with the pa system which you can also search and find

I've been told that this is Reston, VA and if so there are no trains. There are however multiple intersecting flight paths that congregate overhead from the nearby airports (IAD, and DCA, including multiple MIL bases such as Ft. Belvoir, Andrews, etc). Also, there is a lot of construction currently going on in the community in question, and the population within a short radius numbers well over 100,000 residents. I have heard all kinds of sounds before, but that's what you get living in a city.

@schlubber215 Not sure you saw the same thing. The announcers at the game were commenting on it and saying it was annoying them. The game was in a dome and the noise was permeating through the doors. There was also several videos on youtube of outdoor footage taken on the same day so it had multiple sources. I was skeptical at first as well until I heard these noises for myself. Hopefully like me, you'll get to hear them soon and have some personal validation.
