I was driving down south tacoma way when I saw a sign for genx 104.9. I was shocked at first to find the monkey off the air. Then i remembered that I stopped listening to it in 2004ish because they played the same songs over and over again and that in 2009ish I listened to another hours worth of it and it was the same songs from 5 years earlier.

Funky monkey failed because they play the same fucken songs every hour every day! It gets old real fast if you hear the same song 7 times in a 8hr period to the point you hate that song!

This station wasn't all that good anyway. It was cool for the first year it was broadcasting though. If GenX sucks though then this is bad news indeed. Otherwise, fuck yeah dude! Peace out!!!
