It was a pretty good ride overall but Montana was being a big goofy baby. When I first got on he was spooking a ton (he doesn't bolt but he does little hops to the side) and doing lots of little bucks when I was trying to get him to canter. The flies were really bad as well so that didn't help at all.But I rode with a short reign and sat deep and eventually he stopped being so silly and we got a really good canter.
Then jumping... lol. He hasn't done much jumping since last summer when his owner was going to enter him in hunter shows (but then he hurt his tendon) and the last time I jumped with him was a couple weeks ago because he had thrush. So he was a little unsure of the jumps. But with some walking over poles or little x's he got used to it and then he was fine. I still haven't decided yet though what I think of my riding in this video... I think it was pretty good but I was trying to decide whether I was giving him enough reign over the jump and if I was catching him in the mouth at all (if you have an opinion about this please leave a comment).
Yes the pictures at the end are random lol. I wanted to get to a "stopping spot" in the song :P. The cat is just one of the barn cats lol.

u r a really good rider! Montana on the first jump was like, "ahh theres a jump! go over it or not?? ok i'll go over it, but only at a walk lol!"

Thank you! Well don't give up yet. When I was little I always wanted to ride but I couldn't because my mom and dad couldn't pay for the lessons. But now I can pay for my own so I've been able to learn =)
