I would like to thank you for this series as I will be having it done at the end of June 2011. I too would like to get off the pills and get back doing what I do.
This is a very informative series and concisely presents a very useful overview of PVI ablation. I just had this procedure performed on myself 4 days ago! What is not mentioned is that it may take 2 to 3 months to know if the ablation was successful, as that is how long it takes for the scar tissue to form to provide an effective electrical isolation. Good luck to my fellow afibbers out there.
My cousin is going through this procedure next week. This Dr. helped me understand the a procedure I had no idea about. I was able to pass it on to my family so they can understand as well. Thank you very much!
Does any one know which mapping systems they use in this video?
