On Thu, Jan 8, 2009, Writer Warren Kozak interviewed former New York Times Middle East correspondent Youssef M. Ibrahim, for insights into the rise of totalitarian Islamist ideology, its impact on Muslim and Arab societies and forecasts on the spread of religious animosity toward Israel and the West. Discover whether radical Islam is transforming Middle East politics and societies into cultures of violence and confrontation, and what the impact may be on America and the rest of the world.

Warren Kozak has worked as a writer for Ted Koppel, Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer, and was an on-air reporter for National Public Radio. Youssef M. Ibrahim is a freelance columnist and Middle East political risk expert for The New York Times.

This lecture is presented in cooperation with CAMERA (The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America).

  • The speaker analysis is lacking as he avoided critical events and the consequences that strengthen and lead to the rise of organized muslim brotherhood. This is the type of analysis if used to build policy on that policy will fail.
