It's the great (alternate) Main Title from "Young Sherlock Holmes Recording Sessions"!

What an AMAZING piece of music!!! Bruce Broughton's work is superb. A very underrated score from 1985...it deserved (at least) an oscar nomination!

...cont'd to have known a young Watson and creating an origin story for Moriarty and giving him some personal reason to hate Holmes is silly. Holmes solves cases because he finds it stimulating to do so. Moriarty orchestrates elaborate crimes for similar reasons. They don't need to have a past rivalry prior to "The Final Problem". Holmes is a consulting detective, Professor James Moriarty is the Napolean of Crime. Period. But yeah, once again, great soundtrack!! :-)

Great score. This movie is a lot of fun if you ignore the fact that it has even less place in the Conan Doyle continuity than the Guy Ritchie movies. It's basically teenaged Sherlock Holmes and the Temple of Doom. Enjoyable if you turn off your brain and/or ignore the source material upon which it's (very, very loosely based). A more believable Sherlock Holmes prequel would have had him teaming up with his brother Mycroft to solve a less over-the-top mystery. There is no reason for young Holmes

Great score. It provides so much atmosphere. Definatley should have received an oscar nomination. Also I still don't know how this film lost to Cocoon for best special effects. I mean it introduced cgi to the world.
