Since the September 11 attacks, a variety of conspiracy theories regarding the 9/11 attacks have been put forward in Web sites, books, and films. Many groups and individuals advocating 9/11 conspiracy theories identify as part of the 9/11 Truth Movement.

Unlike conspiracy theories about the death of Princess Diana, 9/11 conspiracy theories did not emerge immediately after the event. Indeed, most professional conspiracy theorists in the United States appeared to be as shocked as the rest of the population.

The first theories that emerged focused primarily on various anomalies in the publicly available evidence, and proponents later developed more specific theories about an alleged plot.

9/11 conspiracy theories allege that the September 11 attacks in 2001 were either intentionally allowed to happen or were a false flag operation orchestrated by elements within the United States government.

The most prominent claim is that the collapse of the World Trade Center and 7 World Trade Center were the result of a controlled demolition rather than structural weakening due to fire.

Another prominent claim is that the Pentagon was hit by a missile launched by elements from inside the U.S. government or that a commercial airliner was allowed to do so via an effective stand down of the American military.

The common prescribed motives are the use of the attacks to justify the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, to facilitate increased military spending, and to restrict domestic civil liberties.

Published reports and articles by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, Popular Mechanics and mainstream media have rejected the 9/11 conspiracy theories.

Civil engineers state that the impacts of jet aircraft at high speeds in combination with subsequent fires, rather than controlled demolition, led to the collapse of the Twin Towers and WTC 7.

@ibi83 PT2: In a controlled demolition the building ALWAYS falls at frefall speed, also the explosions are so loud if it really was a controlled demolition we would have heard it, im talking about more than 200 decibels here. You should watch a controlled demolition on youtube, it's totally different.

Now, i'm not saying that there could have not been a conspiracy about 9/11 i'm just saying that this particular conspiracy theory is JUST RIDICULOUS!

Your hypothesis could be well correct (Francesco Cossiga, former President of the Italian Republic, actually confirmed it on the Corriere della Sera a few years ago before dying).

But this is not the point here. Here all that matters is to discuss the official account of the events on 9/11/2001 to see if the official version is backed by evidence. I say it's not.

My comment was obviously sarcastic, I know all those incidents are false flags. It's impossible, in my opinion, to understand 9 11 was an inside job if you don't consider all the previous false flags that were used by the US Government to start a war. Note: when I say US Government I don't mean the US people. It's obvious the government has been highjacked long time ago by some kind of mafia.
