american made a shame of a beautiful jap series, cutting and pasting original cartoon with american shit like Zark 7, cut all the small violence of the original cartoon

Maybe you can help me out, because I remember it a bit different. As I kid, I don't remember the Zark 7 robot and only found out about him as an adult.
But my brother and I do remember people getting killed (usually the bad guys) and we thought it was cool.
It was years later that I learned that they edited heavily and added the robot.

This is actually just a TV commercial showcasing a popular J-Pop band. This commercial is about 9 years old. The CGI movie is coming out some time in late 2009 or 2010. I've heard rumors for a live action Gatchaman film. But ONLY rumors that have been perculating since 2007. : /

ok first off Gatchaman never came to the US... Here is why... the us back then were so anal about what to show on TV that they could not show all the violence... Instead they took the animation re-edited it added Zark (or whatever his name was) and used american actors to play the parts...
1 - changed the actors
2 - changed the animation even adding some of their own
3 - Removed all extreme violent episodes and or clips
