@RSXemperor talent, he's definitely at least in the top 10. So, essentially I think that he is one of the (if not THE) greatest of all time, but definitely not because of the later years. I think the talent itself is not as important as the impact of the manager/escort. If he can bring a mediocre guy to the top, that's the ultimate testament. Paul works with a lot of good to great talent, so that helps, but I don't think you're totally off base either. (But I'm biased.)

@RSXemperor Sorry for the late response. I just saw your comment. I think it's fair to say he's up there with the very best. I think Jim Cornette, Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, and of course Paul E could all arguably be the greatest. It's a tough call, but I don't think the WWE days make it that way. His greatest work came before that. Paul E created Steve Austin in the form of The Sandman and created the environment that allowed the "Attitude"-era, NWO, DX, etc. to become popular.
