@batescp1 Yes and it has been proven wrong before it was even written. Our brain evolved, evolution has nothing to do with abiogenesis. Human civilization goes back as far as 10,000 years before that humans were nomadic hunter-gatherers fossil records put the first homonids at about 4.5m years ago.

@MikeyyPe Yes, the Pope does believe, but does that make it true? Here is some evidence of recent creation:
1. Human population growth curve in fact goes back only 4,500 or so years.
2. Our brain. How could it form and be more complex than anything people can do, and be the result of the primordial soup.
3. The scriptures: they've never changed. You mentioned that science text books are constantly revised with new discoveries. The Bible is the only way to obtain the Creation world view.

@batescp1 If I am shown evidence that shows otherwise I will believe it. Even the pope believes the big bang.

@MikeyyPe I'll put it to you this way: we both (Creationism and Evolutionism) have a set of beliefs that we trust and hold close. No effort on my part can change your view, or vice versa. It's up to the person being questioned to shift their point of view. As long as I keep my Biblical glasses on, that is how I will view the world. They haven't failed me yet. Thank you for your time and respectful questions and answers.

@batescp1 Actually we are getting closer to being able to test the early conditions of the big bang thanks to the large hadron collider. Science is continually advancing and if something explains better the original explanation isn't thrown out it is expanded upon or edited,

@MikeyyPe That is the interesting thing; both creation and evolution have unprovable things in them. THere is no reasonable way you can look at things today and declare that's how they were back then. "God said, 'Let there be.' and there was," is not scientificly testable, nor is "Billions of years ago, nothing exploded and produced order." Both must be taken on faith.
-
@batescp1 How come when scientists say "I don't know" or "we don't know' creationists say then its not true?
-
@MikeyyPe That's easy; God said, "Let there be," and there was. What was that light? Guess what: I don't know, however that doesn't prove the account false if we don't know. It could be that light was a temporary source until a more permanant one came later, like the sun. It could also be that God waited until day four to show that the earth did not evolve out of solar/nebular material: He simply speaks and His creation obeys, except for us humans. We require discipline and correction.

How did light come before the sun?
So, you want the Christians to provide their evidence of the creation miracle. I tell you the truth: our evidence is the same as yours, because fossils exist in the present. You can surmise that since you found them, surely they were there previously, but for how long; asumptions must be superimposed on them in order to determine the originating date. Mulitiple points of view will give multiple answers. How do you know what happened in the undocumented past?
