@mythicstealth Actually, St. Catherine was sentenced to be tortured on a breaking wheel, but it miraculously broke, so she was beheaded. But the name Catherine Wheel stuck ayways.

When i first heard this song i hated it, it was to poppy, and the lyrics of how he suffered for Katherines love were confusing
Then i made a little research, turns out, Katherine Wheel was a torture device.
And it all makes sense! he made a love song to a torture device!
Now, isnt that just pure genious?

St. Catherine of Alexandria was tortured on this device. A person was strapped to a wheel that turned & the executioner used a hammer to break their bones-it was a slow death. So it correlates to "love" being a form of torture.
