The president of Poland Lech Kaczynski and his wife are believed to be among 132 people killed in a plane crash in western Russia.

The President and his wife were in Russia to mark the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre, when Soviets killed thousands of Poles during world war II.

Polish officials have confirmed at least 132 people have died when their jet came down as it was approaching Smolensk airport, The Tupolev Tu-154 plane scraped tree tops, crashed and caught fire.

@LightsEShadows that was neither an accident nor conspiracy, it was plain STUPIDITY , I believe the pilot had absolutely no control over HIS plane, there was a bunch of generals who probably made the pilot land in Smolensk. Moscow was too far and Minsk was not the option ( recent political issues, Monika Borys etc.).

Thank you for your support. It means very much to me (and to all Poles - I believe) to receive it from other countries. It's a beginning of a hard time in Poland. All the people in here are very shocked and sad today ... so do I.
