De hecho, no existe. Cuando se grabó esta versión de la canción, fue hecha en vivo con el autor. Ya terminada la película hubo la opción de vender un soundtrack de la misma, pero los costos por derechos de copyright fueron tan elevados que no se llegó a un acuerdo, por lo que sólo existe la música del largometraje en el filme. No hay más versiones de esta ni otras interpretaciones originales, aunque es un hecho sabido por años que algunas interpretaciones superan a las originales.

Great movie, great scene, and it really sucks that Bob Seger refuses to release the full version of this version of the song. I LOVE the piano opening, it just makes it stronger I feel.

In fact, Ralph Bakshi hated that sequence because of the song and all the troubles he had due to copyrighting the movie, with Night Moves as one very particular case. Also Seger didn't made it easy at all.

Ironically, it's one of the most evocative moments of the entire movie, which represents the long awaited success for a family of musicians that went from zero to nothing until Pete goes on his own.
