TEC - Unit 11 - Divine Illumination

All words read herein are from the various works of Walter and Lao Russell. This unit explains Divine Illumination and Cosmic Consciousness both spiritually and scientifically. Divine Illumination, the ultimate goal of all mankind, when understood and practiced, will bring about a real and true "civilization" of world brotherhood and sisterhood between all mankind. The supreme mystics mentioned herein, are to give the example of what man can become through the knowledge and inspiration of the kingdom of heaven within himself. We do not endorse or support any single religion or belief system. We are simply stating that every man is as connected to the Creator as much as these supreme mystics of antiquity. To the degree that you desire the light of illumination is to the degree you may express that power in your own creations and in your very being. This is the spiritual light of mind which the "profane" may in no way approach or enter into. Be pure of heart. Seek, and you will find.

@4:49 - I am immediately suspect of anyone who claims to have "complete knowledge of god." It is perhaps the highest degree of hubris a human can ever hope to strive for.

Lao Tzu also said: “The tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.” Or, put another way: “Those who know don’t say, and those who say don’t know.”

I still maintain that any attempt to "study" Consciousness (let alone, try to define it) is tantamount to peering through a microscope in order to study the lense.

Words alone will never explain "God", this is true. But man can "know" God. The idea of God, which is cause, is simple. The effects of the Creator's Creation are infinitely complex (look at science). True, who speaks doesn't convey knowing because true knowing is silent stillness. Once a word is uttered, it is no longer the truth. Mind knows. When the mouth moves, it can only simulate truth. But i'm still glad men try. If Lao Tzu would've been silent, he'd be unknown.

"The mind is located in the pineal gland" - That is a big assumption to put forward.. why the pineal, and why is it located in the brain at all. To me mind behaves as if it were a dimension in itself, something that is seperate from the brain but interfaces with it. I think far too much emphasis is placed upon the pineal gland.. it belongs to the primitive reptilian brain system. What about the prefrontal cortex, our most evolved brain structure, that actually sits behind the eyes!

@shrunkensimon Joseph Chilton Pearce's "The Biology of Transcendence" lays out the case for the prefrontal lobe as being the higher mind of man. Yet the prefrontal does not center the brain, therefor it is not the fulcrum of man's mind. The 3rd eye, as the pineal has long been called, in shamanic trance, deep meditation, yogic bliss, divine illumination, etc, is the spiritual gateway or "seat of the soul" as Descartes called it.
