My laptop is broken! Help me please to understeand which is the problem: screen or lcd inverter or other problems? Thanks for your collaboration. Secondo voi è lo schermo o l'lcd inverter che causa questo difetto?
if you took the laptop apart you probably bent a connector on the video cable like me. You should have just got a new cable about $20-30. Fixed mine real quick.
@DemonAMVs it's ok man...but it wasn't ice but icy...;-)...anyway, laptop has only a few parts now that can be sold, like ram and network card...as for the hd i keep it in the box as an external...
@Alexboooom Firstly, putting the HDD in Ice will not help it at all, its more likely to be damaged by water. Secondly from the sounds of it the laptop is just dead. Buy a new one and put the HDD into it. Hopefully its not destroyed by the ice.
@ScottieNiven well i have my aspire 5920g working on windows 7, playing pes2011 easily, 3.5 to 4 years...and i have seen dell working for 2 years and then dying...so....if u r lucky/unlucky u just go with it....
i had almost the same problem with my sis acer 1654......then she bought a monitor and plug it to vga output...it worked for a year i think...then laptop wouldn't start or boot in failure...we removed the hd and put it to an icy box so to save sth from this lap....any idea on making it alive again if i put the hd back? i guess it is a vga's malfunction
last thing before replacing LCD plug laptop on to external monitor to see if its display fine if good then for sure its the LCD, if not then you got a ViDEO CHIP PROBLEM AND very expensive not worth fix
replace the LCD Screen and on back should be the model NUMBER of the LCD SCREEN NOT THE LAPTOP MODEL NUMBER look for it on EBAY type in the model and there. Its not the inverter because the screen would black if it was and its not the backlight for the reason. LOOK for how to remove/install LCD on YOUTUBE

@Alexboooom Apologies then, in Australia an Ice box is an insulated box full of ice where you store food for picnics or whatever. I got confused.

Not a graphics card or cable problem, something to do with the monitor electronics, anyone with a better idea?
