Western Enterprise and Western Talisman at Wolverhampton Low Level station. The date of this clip must be in late 1962 as D1007 was new in August and had small yellow warning panels by the end of November.

Yes, I agree.

I also think that after a certain number of years, rare clips like this should have copyright lapsed and be added to a giant online railway database that everyone can access (maybe for a small charge).

There is another clip of D1006 also with yellow bufferbeams at Snow Hill station with a Pullman train, most likely because of Blue Pullman set failure. The train has 2 Choc/crm Mk1s in the formation (which must have been a shock to the passengers). Priceless.

I saw Western Enterprise at Paddington- I suppose it must have been 1962- just a glimpse of a golden diesel as we pulled out..As a kid I wondered if I had dreamed it because I never saw a golden engine again and it was years later I heard about the desert sand livery of D1000.

i still have old photographs of my father at wolverhampton low and high level on his trains, i treasure them....
