lets clear up some confusion guys; for the 2nd generation of eclipse/talon there was the RS- base model with the chrysler 420a engine..this engine is junk. the GS model was not much better, but atleast its a mitsubishi 4G64. the gst/gsx both use the turbo 4G63T engines with the only difference being the transfer case under the block making the difference of FWD and AWD

@linkinpsp9847 You are close to being right....The 2g 95-99 RS and GS both have 420a chrysler engines. The GS spyder (convertible) has the 4G64 non turbo engine. The GSt and GSX have the Turbo 4g63t.

while 4g63 is recorded as being the fastest 4 cylinder engione in the world, the second right under that is the 420a. If you would like to confrim this Check out Magnus Racing and also check out their turbo kits.

@70MHR gst spyders still use the 4g63t bro. 4g64 is the non turbo spyders only.

@Jeff99GS ive got a 92 eclipse that i swapped a n/a 4g63 into lol. ik ik i shoulda got the 4g63t right off the bat but i wanna see what a built all motor 4g63 can do

@Jeff99GS but thats only in america. cus i got a 97 eclipse GS with 4g63 engine. its from germany brought to finland. and it hasnt been engine swapped.
