MAYBE i shud consider watching the TAIWANESE version of BOF.. cuz i watched the Jap and Korean version. All i say izz tht they all have the same storyline and characters but their all different in their own way.. seriously.. BOF [ korean ver.] i just love love love love it and my my they WERE HOT!! Hana Yori Dango [ Jap.. ver.] I LOVE TO!!
really?!? That's actually kind of coincidental cuhz I started watching Boys Before/Over Flowers on Saturday and I LOVELOVELOVE IT!! I guess I found this one first. I finished BOF =[ Thanks
as I said - even korean version has some charm :) (boys are really cute - like in the title: over flowers) but the more you watch it the more sentimental it becomes. and Taiwanese don't avoid showing that growing up is also about sexuality - unlike Koreans who are very modest in this field (at least in tv!)
to tell the truth - yes, I have. (and I know manga as well) - somehow I like this story about adolescence, friendship, young sexuality and violence - it's so Japanese (and I was unpleasantly surprised when Japanese drama was lacking -in my opinion - in these intence feelings or maybe it's hidden but too deep)
maybe it is - but it was an exeption - one and only time when I watched it in few versions. actually I make lectures about melodrama - its theory and ideology so it was quite good material for my work too :) - and I could notice cultural differences between the nations who did it - some particularities - and though the plot was the same these differences made it very interesting - so it was not that annoying
what's melodrama? it's a genre of movie, or drama - mostly connected with love; it's quite flexible so you can find mix with any other kind: sf, western, coming-to-age. it's a kind of discipline - to analize too :D
