This is the closing sequence from UNCLE Season Three, Episode Three, THE GALATEA AFFAIR, (September 30, 1966), featuring Noel Harrison (starring with Stefanie Powers on the spin-off THE GIRL FROM U.N.C.L.E.), and Joan Collins. The new, brassier, saxophone-driven version of the Jerry Goldsmith theme was arranged by Gerald Fried.
Well fellows... I was able to be Illya Kuryakin in REAL life. I'd have to say my obesssion with it all started back when I was in Junior High School. Myself and another kid in my class switched our names on the teachers seating chart and had her calling me Illya Kuryakin and my friend Napoleon Solo. It worked fine for both of us, since not one other kid in the class tipped the teacher off about who we really were. It went fine that is until the report cards were sent from our homeroom.

@crownprussian it was a cool, hip show. too bad it was cancelled during the top of its peak. lots of other series were cancelled. just a darn shame. the 1960's when it was @ its best. ****

As a kid, always dug the wee sax groove at the end. Didn't know it then, but the world was swingin' in the sixties!
