I am KE5RRH, and I as well recently got my call sign, passed the test on Nov 27 which was my b-day :D. Hope to talk to you soon! p.s. i talk very frequently on the salt grass repeater. Hehe mind helping me set up echolink? :P

  • well im homeschooled :), but my sister goes there*senior* and i have lots of friends who go there though, and i prob may be going there soon :|. Do you? General test tomorrow :P oh and I got echolink working too :D

  • I still remember when I got mine (it came in the mail back then) and I was really pumped. Congrads. I hope you & Dad decide to get a radio for XMAS now, and explore the airwaves beyond echolink....

  • After i get my radio i plan to volunteer for local events to help with communication, like the MS-150 bike ride.

    You will be an excellent Amateur in the near future.

    Passed my test just recently, but only class 4 / technician.

    Guess this will do for a while, need it for emergency purposes only when I am out in the mountains here in Japan.

    Hope to see more technical stuff from you, make it please easy so that I can keep-up with all that.

  • Pick up a study book from a library, that should get you started. There are many practice tests online you can take. When you think you are ready to take your test look up on arrl . org for a local exam location.

  • I'm in NZ and just passed my Exam last night,

    here we only have 1 exam and u get access 2 all bands after 3months, b4 that you have to stay on 25Mhz and above and below 5Mhz

    Just wating for NZART to email me my callsgin

    ( NZART is the NZ Verisom of the ARRL )
