@Sukkii25 It doesn't matter if you buy the ipod or give your money away, neither of them will solve the situation. Its like companies promoting their goods by saying, buy this and we will give away $2 to hungry people. It is the very system that allows the exploitation and creation of poverty that needs to be changed, rather than allowing companies to make profit and then give a small amount away to buy themselves a ethical disguise. Fuck aid, remove debt, limit neo-liberal politics.

@innerstatejt It is interesting that Geldolf's feel-good philanthropy is promoted at the expense of the shame-induced fundamental political and economic reform actually needed in order to achieve effective long term solutions to such contradictions as the co-existence of net world food surpluses and persistent regional famine. What we needed was a change to neo-liberal politics, rather than trying to 'spend' our way out of poverty. That is the problem with the west.

I think he is a nice guy, he gives a shit about starving kids and tries to make us do it as well. I saw the comments on Lamebook from teenagers swearing about their parents not getting them the new iphone and I wanted to smack every single, spoiled face and make them look at what is happening in the World. Kids are dying in Africa right now and some idiot in America is whining on Facebook about not getting an iphone, Who would you rather give your one dollar to?
