  • i'm pretty sure the shot you are talking about (if i have the right one), hit my shield. he might have gotten a little bit of that shot throw, it looks like i stopped at least 90% of the power of that shot.

  • Aha! You're talking about the one after his leg is hit. That looks like a draw cut, where it lightly makes contact, then slides along the target area. If that's what it is, it doesn't count. Good catch. Have you fought any sports like this?

  • Let me say though, that I don't know either of you or anything about your sport. I don't know any rules at all.

I am however quite able to see that club fluidly move past the hand and stop sharply on the torso in frame by frame or flowing footage. Really, try it.

  • This is getting a lot more involved than I indended, but since the point was to kill time then why not.

If the sword did not stop at his hand, it couldn't have been blocked by it even if the hand is immune. The first 2 attacks that Peter The Quick blocks look a lot different. Those were stopped on the hand. I don't see how you don't see it moving past his hand. Please, try to stop the footage on impact, then explain how it moves fluidly past the hand.

  • If a weapon hits your hand while you're holding a weapon, it doesn't count. All weapons are assumed to have hand guards. So yes, he would have blocked it with his hand, and it looks to me like he did.

  • If you mean punch block like punching the enemy weapon to stop the attack, then I'm really confused.

If you stop the footage at all you can see the sword gets past his fist at high speed and his shield is way out of place. The shot was certainly not stopped by his fist. Do shots not count if you contact them at all with your guard?

  • I believe that he punch blocked it. The shot is so quick that it looks like it hits him, but in reality it hit his hand, which, while holding a weapon isn't a legal target.

I'd bet anything that Peter The Quick (The fighter on the left at 2:30) would block that shot at least 95% of the time. He's one of the best fighters in all of Belegarth, and blocking a cross to him is just muscle memory.

  • At about 2:38 there is a really clean looking shot to the guy in yellow and black's ribs. From the rest of the video it looks like that should mean he lost?

If you can't see it go to 2:30. Left guy blocks 2 shots at his sword, then gets hit in the leg, then in the ribs on the sword side.

  • It's nice to see these kinds of videos on here. There's a lot of silly nonsense things all around youtube, but I'm glad to watch things that actually have substance. haha!!
