The natives of Britain, came from the Celts and the Basques from northern Spain who migrated to the islands, before Spain (except a part of north) was colonized by the Romans (like in britain), the natives of central and northern Spain were Celts, and in the south were mostly Iberians with some cities founded by Phoenicians (Greeks). The Romans did not exterminate the native population, which in the south central area of Spain was mixed between Celts people+Iberians=Celtiberians.
