  • Great to see the love for this choir :) They're the best choir I know in my country the Netherlands :)

  • @maartendas Yes absolutly. I look at your Blog with interest, great and nice.

  • This was my choir :)! the chorister was Bouwe Dijkstra. search on roderjongenskoor for the website :) and more information.

  • @cablegunmaster You are right, I had forgotten to mention his name in the description. Thank you for completing the information.

  • One of the loveliest renditions of Suo Gân I've heard, from both the treble soloist and the choir as a whole. I don't normally care as much for the lullaby in English as I might in Welsh, but this recording makes it work, somehow. I would love to hear more from this group!

  • @liberavieve Thank you for your comment, appreciat. Judicious.

  • @liberavieve, OK, but you've gotta love James Rainbird's interpretation in

    Empire of the Sun.

  • @treblechoir99, On Suo Gan then was it Marthijs Hahart or Bouwe Dykstra? I had the recording of the Rodenjongenskoor some years back featuring Bouwe, but this is a different recording.

  • @treblechoir99 well if you want to know the recording took place in the A-kerk in Groningen. in between 99'-03'. one of the winters. probably on 2nd christmas day as its tradition for our choir to sing at that place. You have to imagine with the first song, a choir walking to their places while singing this song. first one boy and later one all the choirboys and after that the men until they are at their place up front.

  • @anzdf Gracias amigo.
