  • Kind of a 1970s Aaron Miles...love Joe Garagiola's call on Carbo's homer.

  • These days Dave Roberts stolen base against the Yankees in 2004 has topped this

  • @vitoduval I think he was blitzed when he did this commercial.

  • Bernie Carbo was one of those good players who didn't really benefit from free agency. Had Bernie played today, he wouldn't have had to schlep used cars in some funky local TV ad.

  • @abrahamlincoln0900 Sox won game 6th, THE GREATEST SINGLE game ever played, period. and what happened after is meaningless by comparison my lad.

Besides The Red Sox have done very well since, and the Reds do not not have the great fans or ball park that The Boston Red Sox still have today, one of the two last original parks and its restored to beyond all glory past!!!

  • @wholzman2 Carbo admitted he was blitzed when he hit the home run, I remember Johnny Bench thought he was clueless

  • Carbo started out in Cincinnati in 1970. Had one hell of a throwing arm.

  • Did you take this from a 1986 World Series telecast on Channel 22 WWLP, Springfield, MA?

  • Where is his stuffed animal....Mighty Joe Young?
