Based on the accolade-winning Hitachi FX-Duo Board, the FXTrio-77 is a 77" interactive whiteboard that is the first in the world to enable three people to write on the board's surface at once. This means that teachers can test three children at the board in one session, or enable them to add data simultaneously - the results from a biology field trip for instance. It uses the same feature of a simple touch with a finger or a pen to write and operate via a combination of ultrasound and infrared technology to sense the location of pen type devices near its uniquely hard and durable surface. The surface itself is not an active component and therefore is not prone to any form of degradation or to introduce spurious contact actions into the presentation. The 77" display area provides a very large image on which to work and provides pinpoint accuracy in running applications and adding comments and annotations to presentations. The IntelliPen automatically converts freehand objects to smooth objects, and the Magical Touch function allows you to scroll by motioning with the flat of your hand, or expand the display by motioning with your fingers. The StarBoard Software has launched a highly-developed combination of hardware and software that allows multi-touch interaction with lessons and computer applications.
