  • Great video.

Too bad the strip is gone, we sure could use one here, close to Lexington. I think it would be more popular than ever.

  • Thanks you for posting this video it sure brings back good old memories I miss those days!

  • There was a gentleman in The Great American Dollhouse Museum last week talking about this racing track. He was about 70. I couldn't believe it was in Lexington, but now I see it really was! How cool!

  • im too young to have raced there back then(im 33)but my dad and his friends did almost every wknd,i was 18 when i built my first car(69 nova ss)and the first place i made a pass was there on the old strip, thanks for putting this up.its nice to see it when it was more than just a road.

  • Nice post we still talk about the strip. It was good to see it again. Thanks

  • awsome video, before my time but im only about an hour away from here! amazing. Thanks so much!

  • I've driven down that patch of nostalgia more then once. Too bad it was after they changed it into a industial park. Many thanks for posting this.

  • This was in Lexington?? Where was the drag strip at? Is there one near town now? Thanks for the great video!

  • back in the sixties before I knew what Gassers were on the So side of Chicago was a greese monkey like me name Mr. Anthony and he had a primed grey 55-56 Shoebox, I fell in love with gassers eer since, I think he'd race at US30, anyone know Him?

  • Do We miss it? You bet. Dragstrip is now an industrial park but the strip is the main road. Great video.
