If I remember right, my first shot 20 years ago hit the backboard so hard that it left a permanent dent.

the icemaker at that rink drags rocks instead of shaving the ice before games, the pebble at the back of the house is fugdging, that means its not wearing away its just turning into melded water instead of sharp beads, hence the rocks slow down and pick and fall almost uncontrollably. That just really worked out for the greenhorn, it was indeed the TSN turning point:)
