Very nice video :-)
I rode the entire Trans-Am Trail, all 5,000-miles, and it truly is an adventure of a lifetime!

Hi MotoMarv,
Nice Video and bike.
I dream of this trip everyday at work. I've preparing for the trip in 09. Questions: how long did it take, what the best time to start, where does the street end and the off road begin, is there a police problem?
I would like to start without any pavement, estimate where to start and to end or avoid?
Thank you

AD,
thanks for the compliments and I hope your dream comes true of making the trip. We only did the first leg or so which is all in Tennesee. Mix of pavement and gravel roads. Most if not all passable on street bikes if experienced off roader. I'm not sure if I'm doing any more if it or not. On my list but hey my list is long. Take care and enjoy your ride.

Great vid. How many days on the road and from where to where? Considering trip myself late next year, but not all the way to Oregon.

AJ,
We started at the most eastern point. Jellico Tennessee headed towards Nashville with a hotel stay at mile 192.8 Sparta? TN The next day we were running late and as we headed west the weather was going bad so instead of meeting our pickup contact at I-24 we went south to Chattanoga. This leg could have been done on my 1150GS or a street bike if one were skilled.
