Little is known about this march or its composer. The hand-written score was found in a collection of music hidden in Bruce Engels basement. The composer was born in Naples, Italy and immigrated to New York in 1907. He lived in Bellmore, Long Island and composed several clarinet studies, as well as a book about Yiddish songs. He was a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), a performing rights organization with more than 360,000 members.
