@Jaylinkin the only thing is Florida State has agreements with the Seminole and I think Osceola wears tribal specific authentic garb... not knocking Illiniwek if the Illini have such a same deal with that tribe. THUS:: Florida State is somehow exempt. And I myself went to a mascot changed school for that reason (University of Massachusetts Redmen turned U Mass Minutemen)

this is so gay without chief, if we can't have chief florida state shouldn't have chief osceola and renegade, if you don't know what that is their "cheif" comes out during pregame and spears the field on a horse. and they have their war chant i don't honestly see the difference if illiniwek "offends" native americans cheif osceola of Florida state should as well be banned.
