  • If you plays sports will it sweat off?

  • Use Luminess matte finish and set with translucent powder. This will provide excellent results. Keep in mind that wiping sweat off your face will eventually come-off. We recommend a light application of foundation or simply using the bronzer only to give some color lift in the skin for sports.

  • my skin is horrible...i have acne scars and my face is SO much paler than my neck and chest....color bone. I look like i'm wearing a mask. I use bare minerals...and i like it. But I still use so much to get full coverage and the makeup STILL creates a 'mask' look. Will this really work? And why are more people using Bare Minerals? What is the down fall of this product?

  • No real serious down fall. Minerals are Iron oxides, FYI- even the pigment system in Luminess features Minerals. The fundamental difference is application, and end result. Bare is a wonderful product but in a very different league, it is like comparing a bicycle and a aircraft. Both will get you from point A to B. Problem is that minerals will only get you so far. Airbrushing will take 1 week of practice and commitment, not for someone with ADD. The results are price, HUGE following!

  • I saw Kathleen Karridene do Barack Obama's Makeup at The Saddleback Form. She is one of Hollywood's Top Makeup Artists.

  • What is negative about this, unless we are not supporting our President. We all have to be together through these times.

  • I am a busy mom with a newborn and a 2 year old. I have tried EVERYTHING on the market nothing ever made me look as good as luminess air. I found out about it through my best friend, her skin was so beautiful. I asked her how she got her look & she spilled her secret, luminess air! I can't tell you how many times I borrowed it :] & when I saw it on hsn I had to have it! It's worth the money. The only makeup that covered up my sun spot & acne!bare minerals & sheer cover never came close!

  • I don't know if this works or not (I'll be getting mine soon) but I think people need to realize this is a whole new way of putting on makeup & if you've never done it before it will take time getting use to it (such as the first time you used a flat iron; drove a car etc) practice makes perfect. I didn't buy mine through the company itself. I bought it through HSN.

  • My sister has old acne scarring on her chest and she was wondering if luminess air could cover up her acne scars on her chest. Does it cover up acne scars for the chest too?

  • Luminess Air ranges from Kelly entry level system $169 to over $400 for limited edition micor system. Available at a hand full of Macy's, Dillard's and hitting Saks in 3rd Quarter 2009.

  • The Matte series is very water resistant. You can waterproof color makeup with a sealer, this is the best way. Using a waterproof foundation is just ugly, the molecules are to big and the result looks like you have caked on makeup. Luminess Matte is good and rated for 50 hours, though makeup actually. Visit Sephora and ask a consultant for a foundation sealer, you can actually spray-on the sealer through the airbrush and get this "invisible" water-proofing. Sorry for not getting back sooner

  • Airbrush is amazing on guys because no one can tell if you have makeup on. Most of the anchor men on TV use Luminess. List of men who are airbrushed regularly: Brad Pitt, Ashton Kutcher, President Obama, George Clooney, Johnny Depp to name a few.
