His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej is very well respected by his subjects as well as being a very talented musician, composer, arranger, and performer. He also excels in other art forms as is evident in his photography, painting and sculpture.

His Majesty, the King Bhumibol Adulyadej is an accomplished musician who performs on the saxophone, piano, clarinet, guitar and violin. His Majesty, the King, has played with legendary musicians, including Jack Teagarden, Lionel Hampton, Benny Goodman, and Stan Getz. He has written compositions in both English and French with Jazz and Blues being his primary genres.

In 1964, during an official visit to Austria, he was awarded honorary membership in the Vienna Institute of Music and Arts in recognition of his musical accomplishments in the linking of eastern and western music in his compositions. He is the only Asian monarch to have been so honored by the Institute and he received this recognition at the age of 32.

His Majesty's "Kinnaree Suite" was used for for a Manohra ballet which was presented to raise money for the Thai Red Cross Society.

on 6-8 December 2007, The Kirov Ballet performed in Thailand and one of the performance was "Love Story" based on music by HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej (from the Musical Fantasia Ballet Suite Manohra) with choreography by Alexey Miroshnichenko. This special event is held by the order of President Putin to celebrate His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 80th birthday in 2007, as wished by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit during the speech given to the Thai people on Her Majesty's birthday in August.

I wish Manorah ballet i cd is reproduced for sale . I was a kid when thisballet was performed in Bangkok. It's a big thing and it's fun. Great old glamorous time when our king and queen were young and wonderful creativity and vibrancy from the royal court.
