did it with 1 tank, 2 dps, 1 heals (dragon) and 1 heals (priest, non-mounted). worked perfectly. all we did was tank eregos near the healer, who was standing on a floating platform. very easy method

That was our successful combo as well. Well, technically our *only* combo, thus far. The rubies (myself, Prot Pally and a Mage) burned down the dragon and switched off for the adds. The Lock took the Bronze/Amber drake and froze the boss whenever he was able to. Finally the two Priests (Holy and Shadow) took the Green ones and kept us alive. Our run took a little longer cause I am a nub and flew right into the orbs after the second shift. Check out the vid on my page,

we did it on HC with 2 tanks 2 healers and 1 dps worked just fine

tried many different combos. our succesful one was 2 rubies, 1 amber and 2 green. The rubies teared through the whelps and did solid dps on the boss. took alittle bit longer than others, but it did fine.

you can solo this boss (even on heroic). just strafe in circles around the area while you keep shooting him. it took me 30 mins, but its worth the d/e at the end.

Me and a crew did this with 3 Emerald Dragons and 2 Red Dragons. We also got Achivement for not using any Bronze Dragon:)

Well there are 3 dragons to choose from.
Healer, DPS, Tank.
If you are doing this boss on heroic you need to have 2 Tanks 2 DPS and 1 Healer.
The DPS can freeze the time so the boss won't attack. You have to do this when he gets enraged or whatever you can call it.
Oh and the tank needs to choose the tank dragon if you don't want to wipe.

i think you get a choice of what dragon to use depending on what role you are playing in the encounter. there are achievements for if nobody uses certain colours
