I think Nobuo Uematsu has to be one of the most humble and down to earth composers I've ever seen. It's almost as if he doesn't realise he's a modern musical genious who millions of children have grown up listening to and been inspired by.

Nobuo Uematsu never took any formal music lessons?
I didn't even think it was possible, but my respect for him just doubled.
