Got the new version and hunted with it. It's frame is rather noisy but a roll of hockey tape fixed that, now I have a few feet of tape on board if needed. A like this pack alot. It's a very versatile day pack for sure..I remedied the long bladder bag holder with a loop of paracord. I also considered the Warhammer but settled on this one as it suits my needs just fine..
I hunt & hike a lot with X2.Its Great pack. How ever If you look at the Bladder compartment the securing point strap is to long and installed to low not allowing the bladder to extend fully. Plus the Bladders Eberstock has for these packs are to wide at the top when installed in compartment. It rubs on the side and in time will more then likely puncher the sides so a person may have to used the camelbak Anitdote 100oz 3ltr bladder. I did after not hearing back from Eberlestock.
