@Run2urfantasy23 in fact the only reason Dwight is the best center in the league is because Yao retired due to injury. You cannot successfully run an offense through Dwight Howard because his post moves are still awkward and he scores mainly off of opportunity baskets and open dunks and putbacks. His defense is another story but he's barely a dominant big man TODAY in this centerless league let alone all-time...

Wilt did not have a 6 inch difference on any other player in the league. He wasn't even the tallest player in the league. Halbrook was 7'3", Dukes 7', Thurmond 6'11", Bellamy 6'11", Reed 6'10", Russell 6'10", etc. Remember there were only 8 teams back then. Wilt had, at best, a 2 inch advantage.
As far as Dwight goes, his career so far has not been up to par with the top centers of all time. Kareem, Shaq, Hakeem, Wilt, etc. absolutely murder him in stats, accolades, and success.

Dwight Howard is as physically talented as anyone and possesses all the gifts: he blocks shots, rebounds, scores and defends. Tim Duncan has said "[Howard] is so developed... He has so much promise and I am glad that I will be out of the league when he is peaking." Kevin Garnett said "[Howard] is a freak of nature, man... I was nowhere near that physically talented. I wasn't that gifted, as far as body and physical presence." And remember his 40-inch vert has won him the 2008 Slam Dunk title.
