Well, now that I've purchased a new computer, I can finally give you something many of you asked for, and with nicer graphics. The exact same video as the last one, with the Scout's hitboxes!

I omitted a few things in this video, the 100 unit range because the two values were exactly the same and the 700 unit range because it displays as two hits and makes the damage popup almost unreadable. (You can see one example in this video at 600 units). I also only did the fixed spread shots once because they're exactly the same for each shot, as seen in the previous video.

I haven't got a purdy graph for you this time, but the end result is exactly the same. If I had more samples, the two values would eventually almost average out the same.

  • Just saying you are comparing 2 different things the spread off you took the value of 1 shot and the spread on you took an average of 6 shots I think. Statistically that would skew your results if you are trying to make a direct comparison. Just sayin'.

  • @joemama114 Spread off never changes as long as you aim in the same spot. Kind of the point of spread off.

  • nice , but the no spread is a hack ... anyway thanks for the range damage :D

  • @XeBiSe777 ...?

It's a server-side option used in competitive play and occasionally in public servers.

  • @MattTheLoneWolf wasn't a hack? Damn im confused...

  • @XeBiSe777 The thing being tested is the server-side option of the pellet spread of the shotguns being uniform. (in a 3x3 grid)

This video shows tests on whether this option changes the average damage output of the Scout at different ranges. :)

  • Man spread is random. Now I know why I meatshot heavies and do only 70 dam D:.

  • what's the fucking command?

  • WoW this video is a better example, cause with the bullet spread on you can see some 10 - 15 damage difference for some of the shots and that 10 - 15 damage can cost you a kill in many situations. Conclusion, for me I prefer no spread cause of the 10 - 15 damage dip in some of the shots.

  • @XeBiSe777 It's not a hack and it's not no spread, it organizes the spread.
