@GunslingerXYZ Well yes, but this person just uses random art, regardless of the album it is on.

PURE ART

LOW - memories of my youth. Love you David. xx

@kostasxrysogelos Well, maybe not. I haven't heard everything he has produced.
-
@ivankaramasov You called his music "kitsch". I think that is really unjust for a man who has developed a certain sound based on synthesizers since the mid 60s. To call kitsch the music of Yanni, fine with me! But Vangelis has experimented with Jazz (Bacchanale), prog (666), Ambient (Creation du Monde), Free Jazz (Hypothesis) and avant garde electronica (Beaubourg) to mention just few of his work. His music is certainly not kitsch!!!

@kostasxrysogelos Heaven and Hell was actually in some parts (especially in the beginning of part II) a bit interesting. But most of it was pretty hackneyed in my opinion. The other work you mention I found to be very much what I expekt from Vangelis, and that is not a good thing.

@ivankaramasov Listen to "Heaven And Hell" and "Apocalypse des animaux" as well as his earlier work with Aphrodite's Child and Socrates. I think you'll change your mind about Vangelis, a man who deserves to be called a pioneer of electronical sound just as much as Eno, Tangerine Dream, J-M Jarre and Neu!. Don't be so unjust towards Vangelis, really.
-
@ivankaramasov haha, i agree, vangelis is definitely not as interesting
-
@foonlyvision Vangelis? God forbid. This is much more interesting. Vangelis is kitsch.
-
this album is really electronic-driven. markedly different from what he'd done up to this point. reminds me of vangelis
